This last year has went by really fast. In April I started a new job with Excel heating out of spanish fork, utah. It has been a real good job change and I love it here. The owner is awesome and I enjoy those I work with. In July my wife and I joined her family and went to Alaska and Canada on a cruise land tour which was totally awesome 13 days of wonder and enjoyment. This fall has been good with a trip to Boulder mountain for a long weekend with my brother, his son and my oldest son. We had a wonderful weekend of hanging out and fishing. This last weekend went with my scout group to Crystal Hot Springs and it was a great relaxing weekend.Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-41442737112690668682014-04-12T05:43:00.000-07:002014-04-12T05:43:06.457-07:00I have not written for a long time! My dad passed away last November and it has been quite the road to settle the estate. For all I recommend setting up your estate in a family trust it would have made things go easier. But this has been a learning experience for sure. We finally sold the house where we all grew up yesterday. Kind of a sad day. We all know this is the way it is supposed to be as the sale went really well considering all we had to do. Shanna and Ryan with their five kids were able to buy a home the first of the year and I was able to help them with a bunch of repair and redoing so they could move in and finally enjoy their own home. They only live a half mile away. Scott and Kayce are doing well with their two children living up in northern Utah. Chastina and Steve with the four kids are in Lehi and are doing well. Steve is in school and doing well there. Nicole and Ben are in Spanish Fork with their two kids. They are doing all they can to make life good. Kade is living in Orem and busy with work and being busy in his ward calling. He loves to get out and play. Janet and I are doing some remodeling at our house and trying to make sure all our family know how much we love them. Yes life is good but with all that seems to go on it has been real busy.Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-48567612188455478532013-02-07T21:59:00.001-08:002013-02-07T21:59:39.707-08:007 feb 2013Waiting to start work at wendys. It seems like with facebook most bloggers don't post as much as they used to. It is easier to facebook and do quick posts than take time and blog. Since my last blog a lot has gone on as Shanna and Ryan now have 5 children with Carissa being the newest and only about 3 weeks old as of now. Nicole and Ben are expecting any minute now and she is having a girl which makes two for them. Scott and Kayce are expecting their second child in May and are expecting a boy. When these wonderful new spirits are added to our family it will make 13 grandkids for us. Life is good and exciting. Still have a job which I am thankful for. Grandkids are what keeps life wonderful. Family is one of the wonders of life and a big reason for coming to earth. I am out of town in Colorado right now and won't be home until next week about Tuesday and it will be good to see the family and meet my newest granddaughter.Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-41552640770634607152012-06-06T18:43:00.000-07:002012-06-06T18:43:32.686-07:006 June 2012Well so far so good the work has went pretty well. Tonight is our toughest night on the trip. Long butt day yesterday but over all it went well. Tonight we work then actually pretty calm until Sunday then we start our last store. We do have some driving a head from North Dakota back to Montana then when we get done next week tripping on home. Missing my family. But life is good. Missed Chastina's birthday. Thank goodness for facebook to keep in touch with what is going on. Texting is also good for communicating. Some times though it is good to have no cell phone coverage. What did I ever do back in my oil field days when we had no cell phones and could only call if we had land lines. I can see all the improvements as the years have gone by. Some times I really wonder if they are improvements.Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-67749480583337066592012-06-04T17:49:00.001-07:002012-06-04T17:49:51.533-07:00Spending the next week and a half +/- traveling to Montana and North Dakota for work. The drive up was OK but long. First night of work went well. I hope all nights go as well. Have ate some pretty good food. It is so nice to actually sit down at a restaurant to eat and it most of the time costs less than fast food. We all need to slow down in our lives a little so we can enjoy. I miss my family and pray for them. I hope we can spend a little time while up here and see some sites but only time will tell.Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-57526448515803317912012-05-30T21:14:00.000-07:002012-05-30T21:14:14.021-07:0030 May 2012Life has been busy. Lots going on. Family reunions up and coming. Getting ready to go out of town for work to Montana then to North Dakota then back to Montana. Real busy at work which is good. Went fishing a couple of times and the fishing has been slow. Awesome times with family and friends. Scouts have been a little slow but summer time and camps are in the near future. Family is pretty healthy and doing well. Lots of yard work to be done but need more time and ambition to get it done. Would really like to get busy and try to get in to better shape.Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-82779210806769206612012-02-12T20:53:00.000-08:002012-02-12T21:04:40.836-08:0012 February 2012<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx7fRueOnTYCuQu0AbkAqxI42JoSY7PISdnati3C2jH32GVWNv3opKo6N2MFcOKlU33lVq0kgv3SGsz79W4erlW2CCqX0q9c3wIMPVVCFmOq9tnvYIR3pDEJqD2jh6BRr7B6V6VjOunedD/s320/September+26%252C+2009+Family+sealing+053.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5708481612297246338" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFeSTRUbTHTevOUW91IErEBbVnKpNvWeJePhVM2XTO-NrD-YI2eRxchLnEbIocu3P9O3MlTdtVE1RwaH8QNrRVGxfNBMMTVd77xkPvAhuJ7BedWjpcZhX5ZZhpHEiGn5uMFVlfGct-b8Fl/s320/September+26%252C+2009+Family+sealing+060.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5708481281619294642" />
It has been a long time since I posted so here we go a lot has happened but most people look at Facebook where everyone pretty much goes daily. Most every thing important is on the Facebook. We had a party for my dads 80th birthday and it was a pretty good evening. We kept it a secret from him so he got a big surprise. We then had a couple of birthdays for grand kids even had a baptism for MaKenna. Christmas was fun even stayed up on New Years eve. Lots going on in the next while. With face-book I just have not taken the time to post. A lot has happened since the last post but as for now all my family are doing well. All are healthy and now I have 10 grand-kids. 4 grandsons and 6 granddaughters. Winter is now over and spring has been real wet. It is finally drying out some. Trying now to get the yard ready for summer and yard party's. Kade will be moving back in with us in about a month so we will have a nice full house. I can not believe how big my grand-kids are getting it sure shows how fast time goes. So much work to do and so little time. Scott's wife Kayce graduated and now has her degree so now just to get Scott finished. We are hoping Kade can get in to school this fall. He wants to go into criminal justice. He wants to be a Wildlife officer. I really hope everyone is doing well let me know how you are doing.Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-18266559252346736312010-09-24T17:53:00.000-07:002010-09-24T19:30:06.722-07:00September 24, 2010
Well so much for summer it is now fall and what a wonderful time of year. Biggest problem with fall and spring are the allergy's that come with them. The past little while some awesome things have happened such as grand kid #9 came and she is healthy as can be. Jack is now 2 months old and growing like a weed.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU2LLrbRTNZUjpaP32MmiwRuyknykVkLMwEe_3a1b24kcIS0OjgoGujZHXiIwHBhwgOmlDxlajrcYBfu-F_Y0-haOj6vA8dtTgCqrS124R9uIaKrk7qs63j-R_seYfUbtPj1YnjKsy2Y1h/s320/june+2010+040.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487484140702172162" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZUG6Kkw6bD2DRWdsCYvKzEtVbuIOVr7ccunCae6lWWs8_MeiDB7gZP3IRVYIanRT6ROh29S7rKdzwInCIOL3NrHjCDFk95AkVyaLIZ3raDNhlrS_f_LILK3c5dwuVXdSfFcLvCL3pMEtP/s320/june+2010+055.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487484131823698466" /> All the others are doing great. Scott got a new job and is really enjoying it. Ryan now has a job and the Curley's are happy about that. They now can plan more for the future. I just got back from summer camp, we went to Thunderidge and had a awesome time. It sure was a beautiful camp. All the scouts came back with 3-6 merit badges and wonderful memories.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJHDKRan1zS3bWkwVGMqLzE6asB0p6X_rTZUf8qcM3J3SVsyNpdVNnT53pX3z6bLuBE8i-AVpxKxS81ZDr9FACnliQIDOcA4L0cuNRD5g_-4y6lf0JKdmmpoPsRls7FSjYlXSsSSQSzPH9/s320/Scoutcamp+2010+Thunderidge+054.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487484164588001314" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6mLU1ezFZRvPrFPB90SrvgErUQcrGd3fqcCAS66ctdgd5afnwGIdb5j1ePgh5X7OzyhgDEjQJfcojio437fOoxQVUUReTtMwMZOgwlzLfJAbdSinhXxOC6Zz1y17iIqcoONBnMm7OQzl5/s320/Scoutcamp+2010+Thunderidge+041.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487484155952346562" />
We have made some new decissions about the yard and have slowly been working to get them done we hope to have some of them done before fall. Nicole and Ben had their baby on April 14. He is a keeper but of course I am going to say that because he is my grandson. He came about 4:30pm weighing 6lbs 15oz, and 19inches long.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcrNC39VIP07UGv6NA68IouG6TLB8WB39Z0yHuzKzTg4OHtC2tUPLNovSorzVwhEx05G85rcjZfjx_PzLp616W5oujn8nvn0-you2c4yN24E2_eP0CveuXI3ODa9EcsPgbQjuAwjOFmUEx/s320/Spring+2010+045.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461245232039568834" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijF9IZGCpL2MFa4_Szs9CZnUcXfB1tq3EocHnpjMqHB-eJcr4BciB4O0Vuqt5F44G8G-K7HqBPWtJmFjKieesyLbYVd5YTWJQ3CjZoG6daAYAn_hbQWumdJwxBMJuDDRpxksjd71no6OwS/s320/Spring+2010+049.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461245224337605618" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJyQw-tSKAE6CwFWY7GP19ZMkqSVNaIWrqq-JyZsoyuiUCB6OV8jZpuQ39TS8kUY_FtaH7VAuZoJ3DGg2GVHrUt5aC_VgEMYM8BNsEk1FAqeNRC745xURWFv02n3cencBubMj1jD1olbz4/s320/Spring+2010+050.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461245213144126498" />
Delivered by c-section. Mom and son are doing well. Ben is so pleased he is going to be a great dad. I was able to go and see him that night before I left for Washington state to do some work for Wendy's. Desiree just had a birthday and turned the big 10. She is sure growing up fast. Stevie will be turning 8 on Sunday. He will be baptized on May 1. It sure is awesome to see the family grow. I never thought I would be a grandpa let alone 8 times now. Am I really getting that old? I don"t usually feel old but some days my body just screams at me for some of the things I do. But I find living life to its fullest is on way of staying young. Look at how gray my beard looks in the pictures, now you can tell I must be getting old or just getting gray!! I still love to be outside and any free time I have had lately is used trying to get the yard ready for summer. Some changes will be taking place slowly. I hope to get it cleaned up this year. My dad is doing well and just the other day I went over and tilled up his gardens. I love being able to do things for him. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdfx1fILAkLSzFF1LtsFJwAJ_7p_MlnQu3CgziK0tg72qzul1ZCIcRgDg_hXS_poiD4txOIPqEpreaJvBPQRj9ADQaMl26-ckperzJSWx3OEKKf1C_66cetVY29z1lzvDo7J_ElpaBeeZX/s320/Spring+2010+028.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461249919488886626" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH5NDBSg4-_W8Fi7m1tX9U82rMYybkzuGAXRSx0Gz-mopMN_R4BlADu5k0IsiyNBeGDgkEYlSBTRZuz5wYJYRLanzgbhbJy5Kph9ZFQRmICDZ22Fgea_tsH5QicCfPsCwgqsvENFm-ImCy/s320/Spring+2010+026.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461249908712346722" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPb6Jqd6EsLgHWVcdIhfBPtH1eubX1A7x54DQ3NT_KotQWWrfzdgoZbjXuTLXeuksKp2YAtfEwL8j237-wfAA1pAZX-pCUrg7r4t28oGC9eWLx2zvSuR8YIQMWtqQACiYCQh6eycIBK_Zk/s320/Spring+2010+024.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461249904297262194" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8wQZZlGAOA-dpkR0F45Vp4NcykuYQYRPFs6QK9IML-UI-tisASbwiByo_KwCm5HZ-McPIxgTI4zdu2RIYsmfbQZEU_LwcJ7udJFLyNHac4oDkf_JhwyMi4JRV0v8PL5GKoyOQ6hdd5yvI/s320/Spring+2010+023.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461249892827337474" />
As you can see we have now gotten the vinyl fence done and have been working on the wood fence. Janet and I also redid some things in the front yard but I haven't taken pictures yet. The city turned on our grey water for the sprinklers so that is good. Now Janet needs to figure out how and what she wants to plant in the garden. Sometimes I wonder why do we have such a big yard but we really do love it. I got all the trees pruned so we are mostly ready for spring-summer. Kade is moving out. He is going to go live at Nicole and Ben's. He feels it will give us more room. He and Janet went to California to visit his mission and they had a great time. Janet loved the time spent with him. She knows how well he did on the mission as people spoke real highly of him. He was a good missionary.Some of the people told him he needs to bring me out so they can meet me. I hope I can work things out and be able to make the trip with him some day. For those of you who have never been to Washington let me tell you over here in the Seattle area it is awesome. Lots of trees and green everywhere. A little humid for us desert dwellers but I could learn to love it here. The other draw back is it is to far from the rest of the family. I do love to be close to family.I have a hard time when I here of family's that get separated because they have to go away for work because there is none around the hometown area.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW9_aLDPF9BawbN016vcGaG4U1By-vY6PVLmQ6n86JedC6JypnA2wGn-YyVDa3MAOTxSPqVf3hXJCWZlm0EhTI5HplR2Is9M5RrZJpa8dnba6jdg7CAPbe7Qk9_ZpAtWv0GLxb2_QCCcoc/s320/image+(99).JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461257704141957490" />Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-80455947094025315542010-03-13T21:23:00.000-08:002010-03-13T23:34:13.235-08:00March 13, 2010<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgURpFKURg65Q1QxfBXo7qfhkhhgP_HgT6_nYE7wfv1ADkDju1fh-AdwxtQpEFJX6vIe7TzUFjIvS2M5Rw0_IufSEpPP4jA9txV_jl-yOH2YTlgHP6DnmYfu23K4U1wYo9LUIGcmWhmHQ8Z/s320/image+(157).JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448381412650183378" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWNc7tx1t3-W7jw8wACuUue1clQ3P1T1rJUS5wm0yMwL8uDaHJEFERE9RzZ-PT9XKB3nu2i2vSmH5RdhK6alPmNZL4l_cw1-3ligE3lj5u7roZyBAM8cAnMLzR8haAVPZ1HbIscHfSq674/s320/image+(31).JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448381399511627554" />

Well here it is March 13 and now to do a new post and catch up on what has been happening. I was unable to attend the camp out at the end of February as we had a job at work that needed to be done so we worked late on Friday then worked almost all day on Saturday. We had to get it done as we left the following Monday to go work in
Price at the Wendy's. The end of February is also Saedy's birthday so we had a party on Sunday. The trip to Price was good but quite busy. We have to work the night shift as we remove the existing cook grills and install new ones. It takes two nights to get it all done if we do not encounter problems. The first night was great as everything went well. The second night was pretty good until we went to start up the equipment then we found problems with some electrical outlets fixed them. Then when we went to start up the refrigerator system we had parts that were bad from the factory. We had to call down to Utah county to get the parts. We were able to find the parts and had Kincade make a quick run to Price and bring us the parts. Success was our the parts took care of the problems. We then got showered up and drove home. Three days of work on about 8 hours of sleep so when we got home it was some sleepy men. Most of us waited until 10pm to go to bed so we all slept like logs. Up and back to regular work on Thursday.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih9ph2vVBiM-G23lwk8E6_WKrNKF5xKqJxUUsBg8kof1iWAS4fDRVQ9eTmdoUuuSY098m92468qX-GcA00bc1nBuuXpjYYk2IjlIuIQpktdi92aHVWV1S04RnpSUqWCcOvrMobqK5bjiVR/s320/Grove+Creek+campout+2009+014.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448372194387974706" />

I have had two uncles die in the last month. Jack Wilkinson and Donald Brickey. That only leaves two in that age group left Don's wife Joyce and my Dad. Kind of sad when you think about it. My age group is getting close to the latter years in our lives. As we think about it we can get a little depressed but if we keep our thoughts young and thank our Father in Heaven for what we have and keep a positive out look we can keep ourselves happy with life. This month is Chastina and Steve's 11th anniversary. It doesn't seem like they have been married that long. It is also Steve's birthday---Happy birthday STEVE. It is just wonderful that we are all healthily <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs_gQViwaRh7vGG9dYU7T_5Yv3IaOo_g6zTld58Sz0qW60UwJM0RYYdTWksjL8B_K68duolfuDZOHBSUtxkXQj3x1vsB7K06qvtikd-77SyVLmZ9Yeaz3bj8fcEvLybcE4Iwl5ueOCcUcz/s320/08-20-2008+030.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448385967407672738" />
Scott and Kayce let us know that we will be grandparents for the 9th time come August. I had 10 students. It is always good to help people understand gun safety and also to teach proper hunting editic and to help them understand true sportsmanship. A few had a little strugle with the shooting but we had plenty of time to work with them so they could pass the whole program. I had students from 9 years old to aroung 45. It is so fun to see how excited some of them get. When they pass the class it is pretty cool to see thier reactions. Even the girls get pretty excited. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXJhPEOIsrnWyUYoo9s4meTyIxgqKKiR93BVvYn74Q_fac4wK7buvG3mvDbyReYavxJY-uJXubEksTTT2lD4hXv_Y_Q4k7Y2-YiQ3-4HokmPD2Cfr8BNVEXR7loJ0tNHlsmj8ymq9q1Uq1/s320/Hunter+Safety+2-13-2010+016.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438172751049490162" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizFSuy5CuqkdP8zPJv_UP402KqBA9fGzHwTSe8jBshsbknRFIL81Hb7auW6ZI2PlYr6aa1rE6PTdzUPD3oQHXHr_Mj7UWXZwLFxf_GN5lozpT-P9dPTWLd3t5JCHuZPSkj4uSQxjQEcdhs/s320/Hunter+Safety+2-13-2010+038.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438172742419196322" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5Hq8Sxd_gfNr74fgbes5dKyxD9bMT-Zjr9eMeNLWg01PBxeOq7quBQvwnCcaWG6Zg5jOQ1tFGPqXXvKzE9uMFXSdArrvAdq4K8sX3pd2_7RbaQxk4UISf7LN8ysOOrbMf_zwLp93QlS98/s320/Hunter+Safety+2-13-2010+028.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438172731300762178" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioWQLoKSmX9_uZ5mR9R0fc6OL4xiGnytBentyRqADs9mxBPEodGKPfmKaBmN_mGFLlfOafM3tHg87Fenb4lylLEQsN-_tkpVedKxo_rHsODJEh20HDh1fLhQsIzt1AKuqdo5q_9PYKNcMg/s320/Hunter+Safety+2-13-2010+016.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438172724598462930" />

Work has been pretty good we have had enough to keep us all going so no lay offs for us. I am greatful to have a job. I have been trying to get some things done in the yard so when the weather breaks I will be not to far behind in getting things done. We are thinking about increasing our patio area but we will see if it works out. I sure wish that the fence to the north would get finished. I am tired of other dogs using our yard as thier bathroom. It is enough to clean up after just ours when we let them out. Nicole and Ben are getting excited for the next two months to pass so we can all get to know Jack. I am so glad to be in good health so I can enjoy my grandkids. Jack will make #8. 4 girls and 4 boys.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgExGxLGIE6bba67ToTCoPDMBMSaSdSm38hsDq3jpSxS-9MEq8MrrpB4wXGeUUUCw3jGCdwp9Xqp8ria62chooIaFdWCbPUyVzgyIdMd14DIsuG0OdRUj6jSFai4IL1RzoBCtUNwQdS4cn6/s320/winter+camp+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438169663820184802" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbVnCfFTfJwi3iGfoMzyrRKsqLqyHZAsYqWM-rWp1GZPNYI0GISkeJ02nUxzBxYch3-F_mqx3baZsIrjQZGrOU7K46fJSKTWWGaLJqy2wjRFGTrnnTEcKHsLSiO-2eU9TPqVsDGPq0KMbq/s320/winter+camp+001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438169457981024946" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigGixr4pqn4TRbF32YKKCQRY9MPj9yBAC5w135qDxi-oBs8fTgRD0II1rbCdEStqAXcozpj4Ec9btYcG_jitNFHPZGQP0niwx72ov6QNWfHDYXDBjbzbM-ybXYCs2D5o8DXxlpIVA8wwHG/s320/winter+camp+017.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438169449096501506" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHZCUpoxu5jE18-3qSct4NgQ1FawrQzmDCzsRgEf-81pj37yfRTww9lGqqYMIyaKderFH6AwdWis9zUU_N678TyzAZSunq_KT-VJtJA90oNoV6BHPSuR8pf-XZ0srVNOU4XDdWrmswmSv5/s320/winter+camp+021.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438169440211188610" />

Janet is doing fine and as today is valentines day I just want to let everyone know I am a lucky man to be married to her. Where did the first month of 2010 go?? It has been real fun this month as the first Saturday we went and helped Scott and Kayce move to a new place. They are doing well and enjoying work and school as much as anyone can. The next three Saturdays were taken as scout camp outs. The 8-9 I went with the deacons from the ward up AF canyon where we had to come home before noon. What a waste of time as they only got to camp. The next weekend 15-16 I took the priests up Fairview canyon to a biathlon. This was a awesome camp we got home about 4:30pm. The boys and leaders had a great time. Then last weekend 22-23 went with the Presbyterian scouts back up AF canyon what a wonderful weekend lots of new snow and lots of snow games. We got back at about 5pm. Winter camps are some of my favorites. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAmpFMv55k3tAFZkTLk4bufz8ylpbUCcot2L53OgZQWjyvW428I8Xnec8XfjTsDvOgTRx4hEJGzl_Kamp9HRuQdWRzIMM16H43xwA2iGv-HXbDLERxLaxmhsqqDwSJJmnLQJBA7Vn4DDPS/s320/Wintercamp+Group+1098+January+22-23,+2010+054.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432372374319987698" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVpBly8QDCq9Fmay7upWU5GpSdPEw839-Pd5l-oUEeP073oqs43Ju6n7A2W2OTq1dV8Bs8i6znUZrVQV3-Ow9QRMc1fCy73vIk5Qn5Lx_e6ZTc6CGZ7zsxRddzbwxIL9Qd4HkgnZxZKPfz/s320/Wintercamp+Group+1098+January+22-23,+2010+016.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432372359314965458" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXkV4vsoWZC3z-rptq5J2__dePpAyhOPbW5ku8TQIDFVtCC3A-Sta_UJD868zYiXICkCEiIF4dUR1nTRWvlL_XAByuIkAw1HLXVAYsjbvwv_wWFjre4IycXuKAXf0YCty5ASi8NRkScvlg/s320/Wintercamp+Group+1098+January+22-23,+2010+001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432372343510056962" /> This month we also had some birthdays. No I don't like camping----I love it. The first camp was with the ward deacons which was good but I just don't understand why they had to be back before noon. The next camp was with the venture group from the ward. We went up Fairview canyon to a biathlon it was awesome we stayed then got back at about 4pm. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6C5W0dhRv99aXGtjMVY0m6T9DyxNG8oHDdfzniaHFY8qhIzorb6sFwiqTriVM1AN0XRP43JhhZBWxLFz40t078SxIDBvx_XyrppkilvbhCkYjd3zWrIM5HiyGqHH3XqmCOd9aPcHiUfkp/s320/biathalon+2010+053.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429370673310008050" />Now that is more like the camping I like to do. Tomorrow the camp is with Troop/Crew 1098 we are going up AF canyon and we are planning on staying until about 3pm. We almost always stay most of the day when we go camping.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVESWgs_Rg3ZnXF5h696XQnz-2iqOXnZdUTzbiMp_K2YNkwhuQ792TXPulbTDjwta_ZFi6RuH5i-kAUop-FbTPCh2f_nGpcOQvIO0WZyfqeWyYn-Mk6NGzj7sRLiFtuqC2HjTUZwDqKNMO/s320/biathalon+2010+068.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429433068218315922" /> I have a hard time when boys get advancements and only camp overnight and are home by noon. No life is not so busy that I didn't have time I was just lazy and my lap top is messed up. I now have to do this on the desk top until I can get the lap fixed. Life is good we are all healthy and doing fine. The holidays were great. Thanksgiving we got together with the Walkers and ate and ate till we were ready to pop. Work has been good. Christmas was just dandy and the best part is family and of course our Savior. New years is now here and I just hope this year is better than last. I hope everyone is healthy and just loving life. Nicole is pregnant and going to give us our eighth grandchild in April. We are so happy for her and Ben. They are doing well. Scott and Kayce are still in Logan going to school and working. They are moving tomorrow so Janet, Kade and I will go up and help them. Ryan, Shanna and the kids are still with us and we are praying for Ryan to be able to find a job soon. If anyone knows of a good job please let us know. Steve, Chastina and kids are doing well. Everyone is growing so fast it just baffles me. We so love our family. God bless everyone and thank you for being in our lives.Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-5527487691081434912009-09-28T20:07:00.000-07:002009-11-06T20:58:22.954-08:006 November 2009Well it has been a good couple of months. Kade has now returned from his mission. He arrived in good health. For information on Kade's mission go to http://elderbrickey.blogspot.com/
Our scouts had a camp out where we went to Timpanookee and was able to shoot some awesome firearms. We all got to shoot a 50cal sniper rifle along with a 308 sniper. It was fun shooting a large cal rifle. We shot about 500 rounds total between all the campers and all firearms.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgl0YxSh1HyyxjuBkjlmnFBJzk6EWzynmbDECZZb8ki64HEyEfAh4cVRm3UrexIue1C44g00c8hjqnt5cdlrfkbd5DmykC_kfugs0RfUTzFFMw7aNYWclLxJYryrVwuwm4GlG7L1EMb096y/s320/Scout+camp+11-12+September+2009+071.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401219561156662738" /> You can see by the pictures there was a lot of fire power. The camp area was just great and we enjoyed being at the base of Timp. Work has been a little slow but at least enough to keep from being laid off. The days are getting shorter and there is still so much still to do. I hope I can get most of the things done that needs to be done before winter sets in. A few Saturdays ago I went to my dads and jack hammered out his front porch. We poured a new porch just before the deer hunt and it looks real good. We now need to find or make some railing for it. I went deer hunting with Matt, Ty and Sammy. Matt got a 2x3 opening morning but it was the only buck we saw opening weekend. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiw1DR0iVwn0at-b3WtEw1ukesslVKtWhAaVKzixu7DvTsLbtgQMSYX-3Qzo2eHpy0ST43rJiDdCeyij27de3Yd8m3UmZSq4uK67BNSjRMbJhyphenhyphenqdk3zmvyFOpMy5P_c-ZaxM84A0Hx10QJ/s320/October+17,+2009+Deer+hunt+Hobble+creek+018.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401213271926989266" />During the week Matt and Ty went up Payson canyon and Ty got a two point. The last weekend of the hunt we all went up Payson canyon but as the weather had changed we were not able to find any more bucks. The best thing about the hunt is the time we are able to spend with each other. Kade got back on the 27th and we were able to take the whole day off and spend it with him. He is now looking for a job. If you know of any jobs please let us know. His home coming will be on November 15 at noon. Our church is located at 455 east 300 north American Fork. Any who are interested are welcome to come. On September 26 My dad finally made it to the Temple. We had a great day. The grandkid's are all doing well. Nicole and Ben are now expecting a child in April. This will make our 8th.

<img style="float:left; Where oh where did the summer go. The newlyweds are doing great and it is so great to know that they have each other forever. Work is fine keeping busy enough to keep out of trouble. My dad is doing well and still lives alone. Bonnie Sorensen is doing alright even though she has had a few challenges. We don't see or talk to her as much as we should. I hope to correct that. Her and Ted have been such a delight in our lives. My kids all love them just like any of the other grandparents. I know they all have a concern for Bonnie.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheSUyjV9ofPdiirQyUEH4VSJ2yukMATzK1FWYNLQfSNGJB_rJDA2FZna3o6HAJN9y4-q4bECjm8weyAQANX1iE5OZsCbICxBuxugz5IQNw_8bgkGKDeCMmE6iLA3HjfItbT9MmZsOQv9At/s320/Scouts+Aug+5+2009+011.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5378935168201473698" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghtK-55KDNgY3LeZgD0zXHGd76nT0ZFWYooLLJEj-y8gKr4G7LVniyZwx7xJG-N44smZIt957-MP2h2CRqL7zdda6KMD2RKwKqoQ0aQSuaRepSMLFyCDha7p4jKM1ym1HNGGi3KPG1W7Et/s320/Dez,+Stevie+and+my+fishing+trip+Dastrups+005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5378934242811785026" />
Scouts have been great even though it has not been as busy as I would like. Not enough camp outs but we have been trying. We have had some awesome weekly activities on our week night meetings. I hope we can get more youth excited and that they will come join our group. We just had an article written about us in the Provo Daily Herald. We hope that more people in the county will see us and come join in for an exciting scout experiance. http://www.heraldextra.com/news/local/north/american-fork/article_5fc23a28-27c2-53ea-a3aa-19e8b0acd357.html This link will take you to the article.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtEveKV6Y2WYeKwVo0BkdOGog9SYbtkc-SlsTHtwKlzMScE80lIzSxk4QbHZ2shyphenhyphen322DmlnZJcFnY7aHQ4HZLsDZz-PbUVwUYwnln3eI5jLbZqrnAXTChgdVsN8BkNManBRBeqOxua-ljw/s320/Dez,+Stevie+and+my+fishing+trip+Dastrups+043.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5378933657705260418" />
The family is doing well as Scott and Kayce are back in school and just trying to keep a head of home work, jobs and enjoying life. Steve and Chastina are doing the things they need to for raising 4 wonderful children. I know that is a big job. All are healthy. Ryan and Shanna are still with us and I know that they would like to have a place of their own. All are doing well and raising kane for Grandma and this old Grandpa. We have enjoyed having them here and will miss them when they finally find a place and a job. We had alot of help at the reception and I would like to again thank all those who came an supported us. Also a big thanks to those who helped set up and take down. A big thanks to my friend Par, Kaylynn and all those who helped with the catering. Nicole and Ben went to Mexico for their honeymoon and they had a great time. Thanks to those who made this possible for them!! We are so glad that we were able to have some grandparents to share this with. I know that Nicole and Ben are busy with getting life stabilized now with the new place and getting used to being together when they can with work and such. We went fishing up at Tibble Fork then we came down to Highland Glen park and fished for a while. It was a pretty cool day especially for being the middle of June!!<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhckg8DTsifK0NcPSMdwCtpqVIyEocmCBUcQ9HhcKJnw2TOOhsXVHP4ITBfDn2canrKssDeMbL0ItZ0bljjJi4w0-ASPeSruNSKSFgb6KbNMOeYz4JqN4VHfQTH2wAXR3EATnKy1t4GeJZq/s320/dez+and+grandpas+fishing+trip+June+2009+006.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5360315046206307330" /> We did not catch any fish but spent the day together and I showed her how to skip rocks and just enjoyed the time together. She is getting so big. I hope to be able to spend time with all my grand kids. I love each of them. On June 27 I picked up my dad and we went out to Ophir to the Carter family reunion.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN0Ijl4kI1No1a5AGZWh79Enp6sdeXYklU5wAJTz5YyQ6kecZ4f5QvkWuBhoFzYI0hyphenhyphenbnbzharjeEBDxwsfmVZXJeaRIdVvJFH8t0xtcOmwTFTScWqz_OeNw8qWUwgu4W8Z32_80l-DhyphenhyphenD/s320/Carter+family+reunion++2009+019.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5360315948643266610" /> After a while Janet, Ryan, Shanna and kids came out and we had a good time. I am thankful that Janet came out. Curley's are always good to come and support in most all things. The reunion was good even though it was low on numbers. There was some problems with the family list of addresses so not as many got invites as we would like to invited. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPx2dKH2vFlERd-OdIiA1UteNN337XIHIOa1vXt5pTmYnU8lxQno5jdZyV0QJeFGXVSJ-Ljdv_9h2ECpwM1H6m25ndejG_IZhPlq4XswdCMS3dO_Y8pUWd329dqaGwkxBnnEXf4UrJ86ZJ/s320/Carter+family+reunion++2009+006.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5360316360597028386" />
If you are a family member, there is a web site where the invites and family news is suppose to be posted.http://www.myfamily.com/signup/respond.aspx?invid=-kg9XxjlI5Rc30ND5A2KLw I hope all family members are well. We think he might stay there until he comes home which is just a few months away. It seems like he just left and then again some time it is like he has been gone forever. Scott and Kayce are doing well. Still in Logan so we don't see them as much as we would like but we can always go see them. Logan is a lot closer than Virgina where Curleys were. Chastina and Steve are doing well and their kids are just great. Shanna and Ryan are still with us and they would sure like a place of their own but things have not worked out for them just yet. I know I will miss them when they go. I just hope they don't go more than a state or two away. I would just like all my kids be close enough to do the family things.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsGQZF_pc4G5Mw-BBxe6XTMlaRZ_MwOoJvgdBMW6paLUispZB60WkVqXUnC0hwV8_VXGH0wbvgMGsktWTXDF2d5MNI-Yb0cGFWkj9NgwDcnJIkhOLX4HAvDACqfB0qPbqambYYsxQWXsYr/s320/July+15+2009+BSA+hike+up+Grove+Creek+009.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5360389847886352498" />Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-23037328516587390522009-05-26T15:04:00.000-07:002009-05-26T17:09:19.960-07:00It has been a while since last postWell since last post a lot has happened. Work has been slow but still have a job so god is still sending us blessings. Nicole and Ben got their patriarchal blessings a couple of weeks ago and afterwards we went to dinner with Nicole, Ben and Ben's parents, it was good to visit and get to know Ben's parents better. Our ward was suppose to have the father and sons on the 15-16 but in the end they postponed it so Ryan and I took Dallin and Stevie fishing again up to Highland Glen park.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh7Fij1a3DVaqBwMBduiUezQGkEIvUCcr4ytBouZXH0p5jKL3LKRz7urHk4Z32vMHQ74Fin0wyzcmLH5_QJfTYn_J5u7h34KFvz6pILvcxlVazy9r-deI_qcY1YaPkKeOF61wSgy1pbKX4/s320/May+2009+050.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340279959091149234" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxvbz4WZllPajJXoKXrhlWYTGubTs8-dOiFEtlkmpzc9fWiE9Va9udthmqvGgZq1BlFOOeJeCogdN0RWTe25M-GbizM0q8FZZyZ1MiIdBQCxU-Pfn-eCiKad7encSWmSL7dIZ3Ht6XcBem/s320/May+2009+022.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340280669176511026" /> <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbvhTCfD9mkfAQmg4Og5Nuuf3y6PtSEQ3ni42kD8d9yKGSiXW0LIcrGJU-Z8soMtA-yhfEH27AiOzQpzovseyJGpbt0M1aZh0WtdT03jUZnHJ57mC_VR0lSxhLP8gzSYHgOpql5NGoGI1g/s320/April+18,+2009+1098+day+trip+220.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340288689899428626" />
As you can see by the picture I also took the scouts out to the west desert and watched some awesome rockets being launched. We do this quite often as it is real fun to see the large rockets go up. Some of them are up to 10 feet tall and cost about 150-350 dollars to lauch which is more than I am willing to pay to launch so it is fun to watch others launch them. I f you want to go watch them they launch every 3rd weekend on the pony express route. To find out more go to uroc.com and you can find out when exactly the launches will be.
Fishing was slow but we still had a good time.<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqv2aLjDsag7DMcDSut4BGYOMamELHQUESyJWBi6qGJ2JlJBY2xujm3O0dK2AtgzKfLacnLqy1vbAqhXEhvx5FmiIF0ntQWlfWjo1nurxh4WnJy8Ws8y2UzQTfJeLQ-ggt2DSXALESX6co/s320/May+2009+031.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340280307006772242" />
On May 12 I had surgery on my right hand to correct carpal tunnel it seems to be doing OK. It is still weak but coming along. I am off work until June 1 when I go back to the doctor to see if the hand is well enough to go back on light duty. I hope it is. We talked to Kade on Mothers day and it was just awesome to hear his voice and now we won't talk to him until he gets home. Janet had a good mothers day so did all the other mothers in our lives. This last weekend we went to Saint George to be with Nicole and Ben as they went to the temple to receive their endowments. All of our children except Kade was able to make it a part of the memorial day weekend. Ryan, Dallin, Saedy, and Aleana were in Saint George but Ryan stayed with the kids we did miss him at the temple. Steve stayed home with his kids and did some daddy time with them. I am so proud of Nicole and Ben and the decisions they have made. OH yea they Ben and Nicole have bought a condo down in Spanish Fork it is pretty cool. I was able to help them move some stuff in yesterday and Ben is now living there. As the wedding gets closer we are so happy that we have most every thing set up and just a few minor things to do to finish up. It will come together as we work together. June 6 at the Salt Lake Temple is the day for us proud parents to see our lovely Nicole marry our new son-in-law Ben. All of our children our now temple worthy and it makes a dad super proud. I know that we are truly blessed. We are looking forward to all of our children and their spouses to be with us to see this wonderful event we will miss Kade but he told us he will be with us in spirit. It is always wonderful to be with family no matter what the occasion. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVRCeZz0cVHRa8UITVUR4LnUwjWv9AKbY7zBAz5-L5eqB9H6t9mbtTWXtV_Uj_3hL29apqvm4SWOZwIwWXEEt1-lne55WgRm6VoRNrN4YMFVX4oydYv3fFr7Q95H_dvtV93WZMczdpedVg/s320/Grove+Creek+campout+2009+245.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340270950966831602" />
On May 8-9 I went with the 1098 scouts and we hiked up Grove Creek canyon we went about 2.5 miles and camped over night. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcaKvQsFi3g-obPKP3bMKwDbfJo2HdmVs0t58bbgR31usjzOTJqO_aG6UECtxRxBeqEpclajpbgTr0o5KC8RUFLAtYyiEdK6bNdzy7tJoNdO7vkIfl8KmbZl2Z-OzboDezI6KuyIog-Hc2/s320/Grove+Creek+campout+2009+058.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340271402121596258" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkcRtiuHXu0O4tWcrCo_gumnRtnpx3WzIBpd1UQu7NmkqDOWVKtWXq_r3e2ugOOyoMPGLhzJ83nmrQgNTWMr3m-FihiBkL2V-cEcspFargFIQAH248zx6Uo-hmYbVSng4FoC4X9ciqJAoR/s320/Grove+Creek+campout+2009+241.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340271851460545650" />I can tell by the way I felt after the hike I am way out of shape and need to do somethings to get my self into better shape but as always unless I really set the goals and start working towards it I won't get it done... Kade has about 7 months left and he will be home!!!! We are excited to have him home but we know he is doing what the Lord would have him do. This last month was good as I still have a job. I got released from Priest quorum advisor but got called to be the youngmens secretary so now I can go camping with any or all groups if they want or need me and I have the time. I am kind of excited to be able to help lots of other boys advance in scouting. I am some worried about the priests as now it is not me who is the one planning the camp outs so I just hope the boys can get the new advisers to get excited about camping!!! Last weekend Ryan and I took Dallin and Saedy up to Highland Glen park and we did some fishing!!<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEQmksL8Sde2mBdqz-LPNX9sLDHyvtJmABDqGqm2N4WSEGi77mnqmguFquJOtFFQS3LnWycAyB1SrRM4DLawFwyCrHtEHRmVc9JplBU8zbICMTr1dFF1DV9vAXhhSMb0OF7BneeAZ4E5gV/s320/Shannas+camera+%26+Janets+b-day+005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318752226259996418" /> The kids had a good time but short attention spans do kind of make it hard but we enjoyed each others company. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-v29Bnp0CgQVfnVux-VGCt7ClxzYEHDsjV4hUR4FMj20hLge0F4r2kcCkaUX7yv6JVk6siTVCxPu7hTZ6MNvu8ADUax1X6716exCO5zPw45VYFTU5mxJQ0BQTMjtkeMDNgRiHKaz9x4CQ/s320/Shannas+camera+%26+Janets+b-day+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318754206496789730" />I am the only on in our group who caught anything, a small trout, we did cook it but I could not get the kids to eat any. I hope to be able to take all the grand kids sometime this summer but not all at the same time as that would probably drive this old grandpa crazyer. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTVVKUWEOWn-twsgfOcY37apRceF4f1ah69Jhy7yoQ-Iyyo0salbysF_WYpCwG-zqxkWaHdcs5-M9xy0Stapo9Szy3OhpWodNc9WvUGY8cm25cVgE5B7V78d1dstST_VTOjyNqhTf46yla/s320/Shannas+camera+%26+Janets+b-day+102.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318751737678481346" />
This last week Janet turned the big 50 so now she is as old as me for a few months. I sure do love her. We had no party on her special day but yesterday we got together and had lunch at Pizza Factory in Lindon.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUEIgm12ax2tWui3WufUxDUdl2Pa16LFbz0iSq1uNdvofnX3Nv0_gDaVuTmTyZLvAm9Wun5Lg1764HxYRWUswyDYvcv_DnfcWxpCS6NDPC9FYIniKCP9LrakRhNgjlXIT7EG5j5A5PT3CL/s320/Shannas+camera+%26+Janets+b-day+112.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318753685740376386" /> We had all the kids there but Kade, we also had mom and dad Walker come. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHphB-REEjqwXg8e5UZj7AVWty_r0Jqw3G21_-ZnkLv0CV9Td5JX5u4PZGWIg6juJolxG6JVBW5iI8fiiuU3iUBStOF0MhqadqkFcbgldgHEhZnZPQWSYW_KsJojj3JNWlyZa_Hn-ftiNB/s320/Shannas+camera+%26+Janets+b-day+108.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318752855618779746" />We did not tell Janet what was going on. We had Nicole come and pick her up to go shopping for wedding stuff then at 1:30 they were suppose to show up for a surprise party, but they ran into a friend while shopping so they were a little late. It all was good, when they got there the pizza was ready so we enjoyed every ones company. Then in the evening we had people over for cake and ice cream. We even invited some over to be a surprise and I believe it was good and we all just want Janet to know how important she is and how much she is loved.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE!!!! It sure is fun to have all the people we care about come and be with us.. If anyone ever wants just to come and hang out just call and come enjoy some time in our lives.. Family and friends are so important to us. I have been busy working in the yard to get it all ready for spring and summer. It seems to take quite a bit to keep all things going. But when I see people enjoying the yard it is well worth it. We are all healthy and doing well. Ryan now has a job with a law office in SLC and he seems to like it. We wish you well Ryan. Steve is doing well and we appreciate all he does. I can not believe how big the grand kids are getting!!!! Ben and Nicole are working thier butts off trying to get ready for the big day. Scouts have been a little weird as since camping up AF canyon no camps have been planned as of now, but I am hoping to go on a couple in April. The ward deacons are going to go on the 18th and launch rockets so I hope I will be able to go with them. Then of course if 1098 decides on a camp out they are first priority. Oh yea Nicoles wedding is getting closer as June 6 is right around the corner. Still lots to do in a short time. Scott and Kayce are doing well but still busy with school and work. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu1CQakmE9GYcjbO90CfR0kXTMW0cSW2hboEa4MV5IplySXBFb1DdeZ9oJPlwQiopdvd5LGKp5CmzREnWpTBAwn4e3yAerwSjMRhc-URDkQ2js5DZZyIWf1Z-mCZ3zshUtfsPUXQSJNmN4/s320/Shannas+camera+%26+Janets+b-day+087.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318760169558064546" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIwdctXs870GUyDaXIdaCKFoGPWadleHgkOrUIrTathOa9CNTE_NrjW4nYYMQL8bMFgvFmhH1Yla2Ay3mAoOdNnd44h9G5ys-fFq5HHxv2aCxZPrTdfSgCjY7XYovekuJ6EgZImd5IHkb2/s320/Shannas+camera+%26+Janets+b-day+085.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318760568689087858" />They will be coming in for the next couple of week ends. If you want to see pictures as we forgot our cameras go search Draper Temple Pictures they are cool. It was just beautiful and we went with Shanna, Ryan, Dallin, Saedy, Aleana and Nicole. We always enjoy being with family. Work is going well and at least we have work. We are so blessed with Kade serving his mission and with all the grand kids. Nicole and Ben are preparing for the time of marriage but still need to set a date hopefully we will know in the next week or so. For more information on Kade link to "My Missionary" and more will be told. Janet is doing well and she is loving being a grandma. She is busy with work and life in general. She is such a special woman who else could put up with me?????? I have been camping with the scouts and as always everyone thinks I am crazy as I truly love winter camping.. No problem if you are prepared and have the correct gear. I think that some people who claim they don't like winter camping is because they don't have the correct gear and mental attitude. Don't get me wrong I do like all camping just winter is one of my favorite as I sleep best when it is cooooool or cold as my family tells me. It does take longer to do things in the cold but it is still fun.. I am enjoying all my grand kids when they are around. It is so fun to be with them.
As of the snowmobiles the 800 is back and running as far as I can tell in good shape but the poor 700 has some real problems from when it locked up pulling the 800 back from the ice cold water trip.<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU8N1X_eE1-yTM8kVT1pHszb4_Ty-zoxmccJ2WVTM99Y7eHdqWR27gc7344Idi0JoPJJkikk1_F-uTKDX7qkCQm-568-woM2_KC60ymlmyqFEaqrVeyP-e2cxQRpNXkrKP4LMzJqSVDdbZ/s320/the+broken+snowmobile+040.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5310962308911335986" /><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6zY6qIvTCKSPlUC9KXVnwxXNK2In_MTCpre4ERJGYKH4w61485OJ55GdujxFfnfGX3x2PFFjeHAXk8MlWZCmeVWsbgPffdd46C822_NHGcvkvuomZHzcjRkG2cs9uLP8cv_LDUKv2QCV9/s320/the+broken+snowmobile+044.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5310962722447284914" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIomcj_hEqY-e_I042Z1rOL8Go7zFsg6Ija6jgkQkHcXBOBs9NSnKc6NmwfAVrSLFfmSQUt6ZNTNY1bJJuNg_UuI8bXB6uG7mZ-s1FSdBanV63YcRdhtkOd9AX9Y5rrM4ttHi4bpkSlajN/s320/the+broken+snowmobile+047.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5310963052649779810" /><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhDOXgGIOzJoYz2wrnqaV4xcrEFzzvxMaprEJrbGdQUZxESLbmk3Q4bIBDtuKzxGA8djgaHaPwgSLrkX9B78NG3YAvzcXGM4LEDi4YLYiu4vuz_ElTpd8-_BiJFqDx3ne44sYPqQwpO1pN/s320/the+broken+snowmobile+055.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5310963348923880946" />
As you can see the 700 needs some tender loving care and some $ to get it to come back to life!! Spring is just a busy time of the year for all.
My Dad finally came home after only 2 1/2 weeks after back surgery and he is doing well. Way to go Dad!! My dad is one of my hero's.
Chastina and Steve went to Mexico and got to play and relax for a few days and we got to watch their kids and we had fun. Oh yea Steve and Cassie had fun too. Thanks for letting us watch your kids..

Grandpa BillGrandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-1149038325542442022009-02-23T15:43:00.000-08:002009-02-23T21:56:08.714-08:00what has happened latelyWell here it is the last of February and what a month it has been. Work has slowed down but so far still enough to keep every thing going.The first of February On the 6th I went to a dinner seminar for hunter ed. Ryan was able to go with me and as he has been helping me with my classes it was good to let him see how the education helps the state. Janet and Shanna had a primary dinner the same night. Nicole came and was with Dallin and Saedy for the evening. It was a good night for all. The kids really love to be with Aunt Nicole. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn2ZWNeDL5-UcZjytn7yRsFSibv5MjaQoor7xp5vMaXfsP5U0Oq-Uks336twpHpBcFjEbUmbxpA9UXYRsOgigG_XQLecZ5yx9_8eMwUu6Shbddxv7w0ao_6pIa7mjS_22rjWsUB3HG70TR/s320/Aleana+birth+125.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5306152688545032530" /> On Saturday February 7 I went to Upalco for the night and stayed with Roger and Kellie. On Sunday I went to church with them and it was the missionary farewell for Sam Burton. It was good to be with Tippets and see the Burton family. On Saturday February 14 I had a hunter education class and it went well. I had 6 students and they all passed. All in the house except Dallin and I have been sick for the last week and now most are getting better so it is almost back to normal at the house. Last Tuesday the 17 my dad had back surgery and it went better than the doctor had hoped for. He is now at Orchard Health center in Orem for some rehab then it on back to home!!! We are so glad it went so well. Last Friday night I took the ward scouts to Scolfield for ice fishing and a winter camp. During the night one of the other leaders and I took the snowmobiles for a short ride that ended in some disaster. We were flying out over the lake and got to far to the south when we turned around to go back we went back the same way we had came but when we got to what we thought was a road the other leader was leading the way and next thing we knew he had broken through the ice and began to sink into the water. We took a minute and found out what we thought was a road was the stream coming into the lake. When we went over the first time we were going about 60 and when we went back we only going about 30 so not enough speed so he sank in about 30" of water which was better than if it was deeper. We decided since he was wet and it was 0 degrees we needed to get him dry and safe. We took off on the snowmobile I had been riding and went and found a cabin with lights on. The guy who was there lives up in his cabin year round and let us in and dry out. He then took us to our camp. Yes we left the snowmobile in the water as it was about 2:30 am when we finally got him dried out. The guys back at camp had become worried when we had not come back after about 1-2 hours and they called search and rescue. We had called and let the search and rescue know we were safe before we left the guys cabin. The rescue had only began to assemble so we caught them before the search had began. We were very lucky as no one got hurt. After we got back to camp and slept for a few hours we had breakfast and after the sun started warming every thing up we headed out to rescue a frozen snowmobile.<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhni7oOUUuHhjt8n6HOTq07zcGIxwzHogGJNfY0EeYmfb-59Ovo2ZPXdo5PnnOgFuOBm0zuPLfiQgz7O0uIUZcZo4KH7DzuJc9dqap_0Ci8UNZRtVWleENG4tF3QXMsAMQI8NoWDAIBCfiQ/s320/Febuary+2009+Ward+Yonng+mens+camp+107.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5306164894280072178" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg04J9NrGuUEsX7o8-H-jf_v17DpVRvfbFrRpW7ECHC8lDYyuBeqJKXMvycIrxDKM6xtAVcwPIXOGA4JqjH8iaRRoBFr-wlsjaVZf9vyNgYsK5bS3ct_8raNz1_K0jOyBqh957DT-Uv26g/s320/Febuary+2009+Ward+Yonng+mens+camp+108.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5306164889488662066" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGI1g0OLk00ZZ1khOuOlHv3OTWPta3Dvun5qQCs1iQmVppFG2y4pBGrF5Il_vy283gyH__OC-KMnfXfmFMkZKVjqnkQYggPDRIXqRqYN_qHaj-wzUkpAb3hbXkC_VO7_LPfMLIONJpU3Xz/s320/Febuary+2009+Ward+Yonng+mens+camp+106.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5306164885570207954" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9mkAxR-78BWbyw3aSSrBJqT96az1Pjf18cn2RFHjcqWxlBqhBN1a0Z4O-1PZMJPvb9eWxT3r0pHAU_BkqHEFvjLQVD31cK9_kJqSOe_ZX3iDJG58lLNw7ykFj3NW3LIhAqbhYFILbzG8B/s320/Febuary+2009+Ward+Yonng+mens+camp+104.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5306164881565174306" /> As you can see it was pretty fun to work together as a group. We then hooked the frozen machine up behind the other one to tow it back to the parking lot and after about a mile or so the snowmobile that was running started acting up and so I stopped and the engine died. When I tried to start it the engine would not even turn over so I think I over worked it and it seized up. We then ended up being towed in by a guy who had a track machine called ampacat. The people were so good to us up there when we needed so much help. I think of them as angels of mercy and thank God for what was done for us. We then went back to camp and took down all tents and packed up. Yes we did let all who wanted to fish for about 2 hours and only one fish was caught. Still all in all it was a good weekend. We only need to check over the snowmobiles and see what damage was really done. We know that there is always a reason for the tests we go through. We will see how we grow from this one!!!!!! God really does look out for us... I was asked if I will go back and ice fish again and of course I said yes and yes I will still snowmobile but will pay a little more attention to what is around me. I did not like the idea of someone getting in as much trouble as we could have been in. We did keep our heads and by the time we found the cabin the other leader was starting to get hypothermia not good. But everything worked out. All who help us only asked us to be ready to help others as that is all the compensation they would take for helping us.. Treat everyone around you as you would like to be treated!!!!!! AWESOME PEOPLE!!!!Grandpa Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08666094973469994348noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669836959547482275.post-79958333817974618402009-01-31T19:39:00.000-08:002009-01-31T21:53:58.725-08:00End of JanuaryWell here it is the last of January and what a month it has been. Ryan, Shanna and kids are still living with us and they are doing good. We really love having them here with us. Sometimes it does get a little crazy but it is all good. Scott and Kayce are doing well but life is crazy with school and work for both of them. They did come in and went snowmobiling today. They had a great time. Tomorrow they are going to go to Jason and Amy Harper's for Savannas blessing. Nicole and Ben are doing well as they are trying to get things together and set a wedding date. Ben just got a new job working at Provo hospital. Kade is still out in the mission field. He and his companion are doing well they have had a couple of baptisms this last couple of weeks. God is blessing us as Kade serves.

Today I went over to the Pleasant Grove gun club and helped Ryan with a concealed gun class. After the students finished and left we stayed and shot our own guns for a couple of hours. Always fun to shoot guns and spend time with family.... This evening Janet and I went to dinner with Walker family and we had a great time, good food and visit. I am so lucky to have found Janet and convince her to marry the likes of me. She has done such a good job with raising our kids and she is such a great grandma how can I not just love her!!!!!

I have been reading the book of Mosiah and am really enjoying this book.. I have never really took the time to really read the scriptures so now I have committed to keep reading and study this special set of books!!!! I really love my Father in Heaven.
