End of January

Well here it is the last of January and what a month it has been. First we had some birthdays Bonnie Sorensen then Makenna, McKay and my Dad. We wish them all a wonderful year and wish them well.
Janet and I was able to spend time with the Grand kids on their special day. Steve, Cassie and kids are doing well. Ryan, Shanna and kids are still living with us and they are doing good. We really love having them here with us. Sometimes it does get a little crazy but it is all good. Scott and Kayce are doing well but life is crazy with school and work for both of them. They did come in and went snowmobiling today. They had a great time. Tomorrow they are going to go to Jason and Amy Harper's for Savannas blessing. Nicole and Ben are doing well as they are trying to get things together and set a wedding date. Ben just got a new job working at Provo hospital. Kade is still out in the mission field. He and his companion are doing well they have had a couple of baptisms this last couple of weeks. God is blessing us as Kade serves.
Today I went over to the Pleasant Grove gun club and helped Ryan with a concealed gun class. After the students finished and left we stayed and shot our own guns for a couple of hours. Always fun to shoot guns and spend time with family.... This evening Janet and I went to dinner with Walker family and we had a great time, good food and visit. I am so lucky to have found Janet and convince her to marry the likes of me. She has done such a good job with raising our kids and she is such a great grandma how can I not just love her!!!!!
I have been reading the book of Mosiah and am really enjoying this book.. I have never really took the time to really read the scriptures so now I have committed to keep reading and study this special set of books!!!! I really love my Father in Heaven.

It has been a year since we lost Shadow and we really miss her. She was such a fun dog and the grand kids still sometimes ask about her.
Good Luck in Life

Last of January

Well here we are in the last week of January and tomorrow is my dads birthday. I was able to spend last Saturday with dad and we enjoyed each others company. We got him a newmail box and installed it. Now he can get his mail on the porch. Today I was able to stop by and visit for a little while and while there I fixed his kitchen tap. Happy birthday DAD !!!!!! This last couple of weeks have been busy with work. I count my blessings as we have lots of work. This last week Janet and I went to Tocanos with Ritchies to celebrate Kennas birthday we had a wonderful dinner and then went over to their house for presents and cake. Happy birthday KENNA. It is always fun to be with family. Kenna is now 5 and she is growing up so fast as all the grand kids seem to be. I am so proud to be their grandpa. Today I spent most of the day at Ritchies to install a new humidifier for added comfort in the home. While there I had lunch with Nicole and Ben. Also Kenna had a birthday party with some friends she had a good time. I enjoyed the day with them. Steve and I visited and it was enjoyable it has been quite while since I have been able to just visit with him. I am so proud of the choices he has made and I am proud to have him as a son-in-law. I am also proud of Ryan and wish him well in his schooling. Shanna and the kids are doing well. Scott and Kayce are doing well both are doing school and work. A New Year

Well here it is the 10 of Jan and I am finally updating this blog. Christmas is past and it is good to have it past although now we start planning for the next one. On Dec 20 I had a hunter safety class and all went well it sure is good to be able to help with teaching gun safety and hunting practices. Ryan was able to come and pass the course he did quite well. On Christmas we was able to talk to Kade and as always it was awesome. He is doing well and is now on the home ward stretch of his mission. We will be talking to him only one more time before he comes home in Oct- Nov. He is doing well and just got transferred to Chico about 20-30 miles north of Oroville We also got to visit with Ritchie's on Christmas day they are doing well and must have been pretty good as Santa found them. New Years came and went but as I do almost every year I just went to bed and slept Thur. My family thinks I am a goof ball as I used to stay up and enjoy games and such but as I have gotten older I just go to bed. This year is going OK for now. Janet and I was able to go to Tocanos with Ritchie's for McKay's big 3 birthday it was sure fun to be with them. McKay is getting so big. All of the grand kids are doing great. On Jan 3 I had another hunter safety class and it went well. Matt's future daughter-in-law Sammy was able to come and did real well although she does not want to kill but now she knows gun safety. Matt said that he took some of his family out shooting and Sammy out shot most everyone but girls some times are some of the best shots. This weekend I took both my ward crew and some of my other crew to Fairview canyon for a council biathlon and it was just great as the temperatures got down to +3 during the night but we all slept well and got up had breakfast then did some cross country skiing with some 22 shooting. We had a great time and it sure is fun to know we can still have fun when it is nice and cold out. No one got bit by mosquito's of bee stings of even any frosty bite. Winter is still one of my favorite times to camp. I know you all think I am strange but that's me. Winter is not so bad if you are prepared and have a good out look on it. My scouts think I am crazy!!!!! Next month we get the privilege of going to SCOFIELD and ice fishing.
